Shortly after starting a new job I became very ill and was diagnosed with infectious mononucleosis. This was meant to pass, but it never did. My health and strength slowly deteriorated to the point where I didn’t leave my room for months. For years I felt people’s judgement towards my illness as simply being lazy and my excitement for life faded.
